Bobbi's 2021 Beauty and Wellness Tips

Beauty begins with what you put inside your body and how it makes you feel, and that impacts how you look. Here are my tips for living well in 2021.

Eat Better

It's not about eating less, it's about eating better. The most valuable lesson I learned while studying at IIN to be a health coach was that adding in more good choices will “crowd out" the less than good choices. It’s ultimately the easy lifestyle choices you make daily that add up. Put eating more fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains, proteins and healthy fats on your list of 2021 resolutions.

Upgrade Your Smoothie

The newest addition to my smoothie routine is ZenBasil. These basil seeds are the new chia seeds, but better. Power packed with fiber, iron, calcium and potassium, they give every sip a boost.

Put Your Gut First

Look Good on Zoom

Good lighting is everything, but makeup helps too. All you need is a good moisturizer, a little bit of blush (or a combo of both), mascara, and filled in brows. I swear by Augustinus Bader moisturizer, Jones Road Miracle Balm, Jones Road Mascara, and a dense brown shadow to fill in brows.

Relax

If there’s one thing I learned in 2020, it was to take a deep breath, relax, and don’t be so hard on yourself. Even if you don’t get it right or you don’t make that deadline, it will all work out in the end. Taking a Chill CBD Gummy helps, too.

Wear a Mask

There’s a light at the end of all of this, we just need to stick together. Wear a mask. Stay home. Check in on your friends, family and neighbors.

Keep Moving

It can be hard since we’re spending more time at home and indoors, but find ways to move your body everyday. I love this reminder from my trainer, Krystal: “Waking up and working out is not an easy choice, especially when you are so busy. Be proud of your effort, it all counts.”

Drink More Water

I know I sound like a broken record at this point, but staying hydrated is key. So fill up that bottle and then fill it up again. Feeling stuck? Add a squeeze for lemon or lime juice or make ice cubes with fruit and mint.

Be Kind

Always. You never know who you’re going to meet or what their story is. Treat everyone with kindness and respect. It goes a long way.
