Curated: Our Favorite Brands for Earth Month

Written by: Bobbi

Looking to add some Earth-friendly brands to your routine? Here are a few to get you started. And keep in mind, you don’t need any of these to go green — so just consider these cool swaps when the time comes to replace items in your day-to-day life.

Allbirds

With Allbirds, you can feel really good about what’s on your feet. Choose between styles made from eucalyptus trees or merino wool (pictured here) and hit the road. A new plant-based leather option is launching in December 2021.

By Humankind

Green-up your personal care routine with refillable products from By Humankind. The brand offers bar cleansers, refillable deodorant, solid toothpaste and more.

David's Toothpaste

This toothpaste comes in a recyclable metal tube (and cool key to squeeze everything out). It's also made with natural ingredients, like activated charcoal and peppermint oil.

Stasher Bags

I have a lot of love for these reusable bags. Use them for everything from snacks to cords to beauty products. (They are our go-to at Jones Road!)

Bee's Wrap

These reusable beeswax coated wraps can be used for storing everything from bread to cheese. Just wash in cold water and reuse.

Girlfriend Collective

You probably know this brand for their leggings made with recycled water bottles, but they're taking the plastics issue a step further by offering a Microfiber Filter. You can attach this to your washing machine to help filter out microcplastics.

W&P Porter

If you're heading back to the office, pack your lunch in one of these glass, ceramic, or recycled plastic containers from W&P's Porter collection.

Baggu

These reusable shoppers (inspired by some iconic NYC bags) are perfect for toting groceries and farmer's market hauls.

La Reunion Patchwork Dress

Made by Sarah Nsikak, a Nigerian-American living in Brooklyn, these custom made Patchwork Dresses are made with recycled materials and vintage dead stock fabric.

Hay Sip Straws

Colorful reusable straws made with borosilicate glass. Use them for smoothies, coffee or cocktails.

French Net Bag from Wild Minimalist

Made in Normand, France, these sustainable knit bags are perfect for running errands, heading to the beach, or even a night out.

Bamboo Compost Bin

For easy composting at home, these biodegradable and durable bamboo fiber bins come equipped with a charcoal filter. Fill it up with kitchen scraps and easily add to your compost mix outside.

Alex Mill Re-Work Collection

This limited-edition collection of upcycled pieces from Alex Mill are dyed with plant-based indigo dyes. Perfect for spring.

Food52 Compostable Sponge

These all-purpose reusable cleaning cloths are a cool sub for paper towels. When you're done, toss them in your home compost — they will decompose in just six weeks.
