A Tribute to Bobbie Rose

I first met Bobbi Rose back in 2017 and immediately cast the 101-year-old as a model for a project I was doing with Lord and Taylor. On set, her energy was infectious. She was laughing the whole time and told us how she loved spending time with all us “young people.”

If anything, Bobbie proved that age is nothing but a number. She was driving, cooking for her family, and even playing golf (her favorite sport) when she turned 100 — with no signs of slowing down. Her secret to it all? Family, exercise, and good genes.

When we met, she told me: “My life began at 90.Things got interesting and full of possibilities.” We sat down together at our shoot to talk about longevity and wellness, and I’m so happy I have this conversation captured on video. I think we can all learn a little something from her.

I kept checking in on Bobbie over the years and I was heartbroken to hear that she passed away last month, just a month shy of her 105th birthday. She will always be one of the coolest women I’ve ever had the chance to meet and to makeup.
