Lessons in Cool: Goods Mart Founder Rachel Krupa

Written by: Alexandra Perron, Managing Editor

Welcome to Lessons In Cool, a new series all about the people we’re constantly inspired by. They are tastemakers, curators of style, thought leaders, and well, just cool.

Meet Rachel Krupa, she’s the founder of PR agency Krupa Consulting and the brains behind The Goods Mart, a socially conscious neighborhood convenience store located in SoHo. Krupa has spent the last decade working with food and lifestyle brands like Our Place, Purely Elizabeth, and Forager Project and opened The Goods Mart just over two years ago. The marketplace is all about showcasing staples that are not only delicious, but also better for you and the environment — she describes it as “if 7-Eleven and Whole Foods had a baby.” Read on for her beauty and style essentials and her go-to smoothie.

Name & Occupation:

Rachel Krupa, founder/CEO of The Goods Mart & Krupa Consulting

Describe yourself in 3 words:

Driven, creative, thoughtful

First thing you do when you wake up:

Align with myself to prepare for the day! Workout (The Class by Taryn Toomey, New York Pilates), mediation, dry brush, oil pull, shower, vitamins (hello EVOLUTION_18 ACV gummies & Beauty Glow), drink 1 liter of water… then jump on my computer/zoom, etc.

The 5 beauty products you can’t live without:

Your style uniform is:

Pre-Covid or during Covid? Pre-Covid: High Waisted Levi’s, a black bodysuit, Ulla Johnson cardigan and Rachel Comey Black boots. During Covid: Everybody’s World Trash Sweats, vintage flannels. All the time: The Great Eros bra and red lips!

The song you have on repeat:

Sexy Weekend by Scoundrels

Recipe you’ve perfected:

My afternoon smoothie recipe: Four Sigmatic Chocolate protein, EVOLUTION_18 Relaxing Vanilla, and Tache Pistachio Milk.

Last person you texted:

My BFF Kelly Brady!

What does “cool” mean to you?

Being confident in your own skin and thinking about others as much as you think about yourself.
