I love the holiday season, but honestly, my very favorite time of the year is January after all the hustle and bustle is behind me. It’s my month when I can regroup, reset, and start incorporating some self-care into my routine. Here are a few easy things you can do at home to help you start the new year looking and feeling your best.

Master Your At-Home Skincare Routine: Makeup always looks best on clean, healthy skin, so start the year with a great at-home mini-facial. When you get out of the shower and your pores are open, try a Pore Prep Tool to remove any dirt and debris. Press the tool down gently on the skin and always push it upwards to cleanse the pores. If you notice any blackheads or whiteheads, you can use the Skin Care Tool for gentle and safe extractions.

Clean Up Your Brows:  Well-groomed eyebrows frame your face and give your eyes an instant lift, even when you’re feeling tired. Doing your brows at home is easy if you have the right tools. I've been using the Tweezerman Slant Tweezer for over 40 years—it's the perfect tool for brow shaping, precisely removing tiny hairs, and helping to create a defined arch. Be careful not to over-tweeze, though—just follow the natural shape of your brow, cleaning up any strays along the way. I'll also sometimes use a Brow Razor when I need more detailed grooming. Pro-Tip: The Brow Razor is also great for guys to easily remove hairs between their eyebrows.

Fill in Your Brows: I love a beautiful, full brow –think Ali McGraw in Love Story—and it’s easy to get the look at home. Start out by using The Brow Pencil in a shade that matches your eyebrows, not your hair color. Use short, feathery strokes to fill in the brows with the pencil and follow the natural arch of your brow. Use a spoolie to brush the brows into place. If needed, go back in with your pencil to fill in any blank spots.

Up Your Lash Game: Nothing adds more definition to the eyes than thick lashes and lots of black mascara. Before you apply The Mascara, use an eyelash curler that gives the lashes a natural, lasting curl.  I love this Classic Eyelash Curler – it’s the first curler I’ve ever used and it’s so easy and fool-proof.  After you curl the lashes, use black mascara to lift and define the lashes. Finish off the look by combing through the lashes with The Lash Guard and Comb—it will remove any excess mascara and separates the lashes perfectly. For a more dramatic look, apply a second coat of mascara.

With the right tools and just a few must-have products, you can start 2023 looking and feeling your very best.  It’s a new year but it’s the same you…only better.
