Bobbi Brown's Beauty School: Holiday Glow

This look is fun for the holidays or when you just want something that is ethereal and pretty. The key to a look with shimmer is being strategic about where you apply it (eyes, lips and cheeks) and making sure that the colors you are using are right for your skintone.

Skin

This look works best on someone that has really good skin, because you want to keep the foundation light. I used complexion sticks to even out the skin and added a little bit of tinted moisturizer to build the base of our glow. I added powder to the forehead, nose and around the mouth to soften and take down extra shine.

I used Pat McGrath Labs Skin Fetish Sublime Highlighting Trio and applied it high on the cheekbones, where light naturally hits the face. I layered this with Chanel Baume Essentiel Multi-Use Glow Stick in Transparent. I used a bronze-pink blush on the cheeks for a pop of color. At the end, I added a little bit of shimmer to her neck and chest with Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder.

Eyes

I lined the eyes using a black liner and kept the line really tight along the top lash line. I applied Beauty Pie Flash False Lash Mascara in black to the top and bottom lashes. For eyeshadow, the only thing I used was a shimmery, champagne color to make her lids really stand out.

Brows

I kept the brows minimal, just brushing them up and filling them in slightly with a pencil. You can use a clear brow gel, like Anastasia Beverly Hills Clear Brow Gel, to help them hold their shape when you brush up.

Lips

On her lips, I lightened up her natural lip color using pale pink pencil and added a touch of NARS Multi-Use Gloss in First Time, a sheer, shimmery gloss.
