Bobbi Brown's Beauty School: 5 Minute Minimalist Makeup

I love the way Molly looks without any makeup — she has impeccable skin and I adore the freckles on her nose. I wanted to keep this look super minimal, it’s something you can do in just five minutes using Jones Road products.

Skin

I started by applying Jones Road Eye Cream and Miracle Cream to plump up and hydrate her skin. She has some natural darkness under the eyes, so I used a lighter Face Pencil to eliminate that shadow. I added more eye cream and then set it with a little bit of loose powder — the extra eye cream really helped everything blend in.

I didn’t want to use a lot of foundation because I love the way her skin looks, so I used a Face Pencil just to even out her tone and cover redness around the nose, mouth, and chin. There’s often redness or darkness at the outer corner of the eyes, so I also applied it there. I like to have 2-3 shades on hand to blend and adjust across diferent areas and seasons.

Then I applied Miracle Balm in Bronze all over the face and on the neck. This helps make sure that the face and neck match, which is really important. Bronzer helps to warm up the skin on the neck. I finished with Miracle Balm in Dusty Rose on the cheeks.

Eyes & Brows

Molly has really expressive eyebrows, which I also love about her. I filled them in using a brow pencil, giving them an arch and making sure they matched each other. The saying is that your eyebrows are “sisters, not twins,” but you still want them to have the same shape.

On her lids, I applied a light shadow all over to get rid of any discoloration. Then I used the Miracle Balm in Dusty Rose that is on her cheeks and applied it to the lids — I love a glossy lid, especially in photos. I skipped the liner and added two coats of The Mascara in black.

Lips

I kept her lips super simple with Cool Gloss in Original. No pencil, no lipstick. A really natural look.
