Beauty Tools 101: The Jones Road Brush Guide

Written by: Bobbi

As much as I love using my hands when it comes to makeup application, my kit wouldn’t be complete without a good set of brushes. For Jones Road, I wanted to create a set of brushes that really functioned as essential tools in your beauty routine. They’re all made with hypoallergenic, vegan fibers and made in Italy. They feel so soft on the skin, but still allow for precision and detail.

Here’s a guide to all of our brushes, so you can find what will fit best in your routine. And don’t forget to clean them! Wash them once a week using lukewarm water and a gentle soap or baby shampoo. Wring them out and let them air dry over the edge of a table or counter to air to maintain shape.

The Everything Brush

Wide and flat, this brush is great for getting even coverage. Use it with powder or cream products, like blush, bronzer, and highlighter.

The Skin Brush

Consider this your makeup multitasker. It will make foundation, Miracle Balm, Face Pencils and more disappear seamlessly into the skin.

The Detail Brush

This is great for targeted applications, like concealer or covering a blemish. I like to use it for blending around the nose, mount, and under the eyes.

Eye Blending Brush

With the Eye Blending Brush, you can create depth and dimension. It’s great for diffusing harsh lines and softening edges for a seamlessly blended look.

Eye Fluffy Brush

This fluffy brush is super easy to use, just sweep across lids for an even wash of color or for all-over blending.

Eye Detail Brush

A small, dense brush ideal for creating intensity. It will help you pack on pigment along the upper and lower lash lines.

Eyebrow Brush

The spoolie end is your new brow BFF—use it to tame and brush. The slanted end will help you fill in with brow powder.
