Beauty School: Jeanne’s Everyday Favorites

Bobbi first ignited my passion and inspiration for makeup at age 16, when I received her Makeup Manual for my birthday. Never could I have imagined that one day she would become my mentor (both as a makeup artist and businesswoman) and that I would take part in building a brand with her. That said, I’m very proud to say I now wear many hats at Jones Road: product development manager, makeup lead, content creator, and model.
For Women’s History Month, we felt there was no better time for a kit collaboration between the two of us, representing our mentor-mentee relationship as makeup artists and women in beauty. Together we curated the Jeanne Kit, which includes my go-to, everyday favorites from Jones Road: Mini Miracle Balm in Flushed, Just A Sec in Topaz, Best Pencil in Brown, and Cool Gloss in Pink Gold Shimmer. Here’s how I like to use them:
Face
My skin is dry, so I always prep with a hydrating moisturizer before applying makeup. I use a pea-size amount of Eye Cream under the eyes, and a dime-size of Light Moisture Cream on the face and neck. Then I apply the Face Pencil over any redness on the face and over dark circles under the eyes, using The Everything Brush to seamlessly buff out and blend. Once the skin looks even, I gently tap Miracle Balm in Flushed into the apples of the cheeks, for a complexion-warming pop of color.
Eyes
I fill in the brows using The Brow Pencil in Ash. It works to fill in any sparse areas and adds fullness thanks to the tiny hairlike fibers. Then I use my index finger to swipe Just A Sec in Topaz all-over the lids. Topaz is a warm, medium brown that gives a subtle depth; just enough to make the eyes pop. I line my eyes using the Best Pencil in Brown, going back and forth along the lash line to create a defined line. If I want something softer, I use the Eye Fluffy Brush to soften and blend out the line.
Lips
I apply Flushed on the lips for a sheer pop of pink (think your lips but better), and then use Cool Gloss in Pink Gold Shimmer on top for extra dimension and shine. If I’m in the mood, I’ll complete the look by tapping Cool Gloss on the high points of my cheeks for an added highlight.
