Beauty is Confidence

If you don't believe that body decoration is a universal human impulse, Google the Omo people, and see photos of women, men and children who decorate each other with pigments and plants from nature. Our problem is that gender roles make women feel insecure without decoration and men feel insecure with it -- plus conforming to race, class and gender. We'll have to re-learn that each one of us is beautiful and unique.
