I am so excited for my good friend Elvis Duran on the release of his first book, Where Do I Begin?: Stories from a Life Lived Out Loud. It is full of stories about his career in radio, relationships, the party scene, how Dr. Oz saved his life, and because it’s Elvis, a lot of laugh out loud moments.

I was first a guest on his Z100 radio show in 2012 and we became fast friends. I even created a bronzer for him when I was at Bobbi Brown Cosmetics. What I love most about him is that he is real, he is kind, and he is always there for his friends. And I was honored to attend his wedding to Alex a few months ago.

It has been my joy to read his autobiography. If you haven’t read it, you should and you’ll understand one of the many reasons I love this man so much. And it’s full of good advice. In the final chapter, Elvis shares a letter to his younger self and the lessons he shares are worth printing out and looking at every single day. I especially love Lesson 10: “Listen to your heart. Listen to your gut. Trust yourself.”
