Beauty Quick Tip: How to Apply Cream Blush

Blush makes everyone look pretty. It can warm up your skin tone with bronzy tones or brighten your face with a pop of color. I love using cream blush because it leaves the skin with a dewy or sheer, stained finish. It also looks great when it’s applied to clean skin without any foundation. Here are my cream blush tips:

1. Look for a shade that matches the color your cheeks turn when they naturally flush. Use a dense color that you can build on and that can easily be made sheer and patted flat so it looks like a stain.

2. Apply with your fingers, a foundation brush or a sponge. Use a small amount at first and blend thoroughly. You can always add more or layer colors to enhance the color.

3. Smile and pat the color into the apples of your cheeks and up towards the hairline. Soften the edges using your fingers.

4. You can also add cream blush to eyelids for a sheer wash of color or use it on lips as a stain. It won’t be gooey like a gloss, making it perfect for summer.
