Bobbi's New Year Reset Guide

It’s a new year, which means fresh starts, new routines, and hitting reset. While I’m a believer in not waiting until January to make a health or wellness change, I understand why the timing feels right coming out of the holiday season, a time when we may have overindulged just a bit. These are a few of my go-to tips and tricks for hitting reset, pulled together from my studies at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and from years of talking with other experts. Here’s to a healthy 2020!

Don’t Skip Meals

Whether you’re intermittent fasting or like to have three square meals a day, make them count. Aim for meals high in protein, vegetables, fiber, and with some healthy fat. If you’re in a pinch, make a smoothie with a protein powder like Energizing Chocolate. And try to limit the sweets — swap cookies for fruit or a square of sugar-free dark chocolate.

Keep Moving

Just because it’s a new year doesn’t mean you have to go hard at the gym the first week back, it’s more important to be consistent and make movement (and breaking a sweat) part of your daily routine. Take a walk in the morning or at lunch, use the stairs at work, or try this quick workout from my trainer, Krystal Weisberg.

Stay Chill

Don’t let the stress of resolutions get to you — you’re doing great. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, take a few deep breaths and pop an EVOLUTION_18 Chill Gummy. Made with broad spectrum CBD, these gummies will help you feel calm and stay centered.

Get Organized

The holidays are chaos, so make sure you take time to get yourself organized as you head into the new year. Look at what’s coming up ahead in terms of work, travel and family events and get it all on the calendar. Book the necessary appointments, make your reservations and don’t forget to schedule some time for you. When you can look ahead at what’s coming down the pipe, you’ll feel a lot better.

Treat Your Gut Right

The trillions of bacteria living in your gut microbiome are essential for overall health. If you’re not taking care of them, now is a great time to start. Eat fermented foods, like sauerkraut and kimchi, and add a daily probiotic to your regimen. The EVOLUTION_18 Beauty Probiotic has 10 billion live cultures plus prebiotic fiber to give your microbiome exactly what it needs.

Beauty From the Inside Out

When it comes to keeping your skin glowing, even during harsh winter weather, it’s all about what you put in your body. Eat a diet rich in vitamins and minerals that boost your skin’s elasticity and collagen production. Vitamin C has been proven to stimulate collagen production, so load up on citrus, tomatoes, broccoli and greens. My EVOLUTION_18 collection has everything you need to for gorgeous skin, strong nails, and overall glow.
